We are driven by the belief that music has the power to bring people together and enrich everyday life.

Our Team

Behind StrumTree is a dedicated team of musicians, educators, and community leaders who share a passion for bringing people together through music. With experience in performance, music education, and community engagement, our team is committed to creating welcoming opportunities for older adults and seniors to learn, play, and enjoy music together. Through classes, workshops, performances, and aged care programs, we work to make music accessible, enjoyable, and enriching for the wider community.

Founder and Director of StrumTree

Caspian Scott

Caspian founded StrumTree in 2024 with a vision to enrich the Canberra community through guitar music. He completed a Bachelor of Music at the ANU, and has over 5 years of experience as a music educator

Currently based in Vienna, Caspian works behind the scenes to improve and expand StrumTree’s impact on the Canberra community.

Guitar Program Coordinator

Eduardo Ruiz

Eduardo Ruiz is an experienced classical guitarist and music educator who helps students become confident, skilled, and expressive guitar players. With a Master of Music in Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Adelaide, Eduardo teaches students to play with musicality.
At StrumTree, he leads guitar classes with a strong focus on musicianship, confidence, and community. He creates meaningful performance opportunities for students, including bringing live guitar music into Canberra’s aged-care homes.

Aged Care Music Activity Leader

Leo Amadeus

Leo Amadeus is an actor, writer and musician who loves to share music with everyone. They are a firm believer in music therapy and they love to bring joy to people by singing songs and playing the piano (and encouraging the audience to sing along, too!).
Leo collaborates with StrumTree to bring music to aged care homes, providing live music activities and entertainment, with the goal of bringing everyone closer through song.
